Wink house is about the way we see the world looking through the veil of a 19th Century terrace house to the 21st Century and beyond.
It’s about changing our view, our perspective. It takes us from the damp, dark confines of a light starved box to a connected future, a bright future, a sustainable future.
Within the blink of an eye, Wink house converts an historic relic with tunnel vision into a space that appreciates the outside world through a double glazed lens and a protected timber battened eyelid.
The building is invisible from the street but dynamic to the rear. This building is spatially clever using nooks under stairs and sloping walls to provide powder rooms and built in storage. It’s designed to be thermally responsive, the ability for expansive glazing to be screened by an operable battened screen with the flick of a switch.
Wink House is spacious, light filled home in nestled behind a heritage streetscape.
